PHOENIX, Ariz.-Mark Green and his Superflo/HMV Motorsports team headed into Phoenix International Raceway with hopes of qualifying strong and running a competitive race during Saturday afternoon's Outback Steakhouse 200. Green qualified his Superflo Chevrolet in the 31st position and finished 33rd. "We posted a respectable time during qualifying but it was only good enough for 31st," explained Green, driver of the Superflo Chevrolet. "The top 25 cars were only separated by a half of a second which made it really tough. The Busch Series is so competitive that unfortunately a half second can make a difference." Green started the race with a snug racecar that would only get tighter as the day progressed, diminishing his hopes for a top-15 finish. "The car started off snug and kept getting tighter as the day went on," commented Green. "We made some adjustments to the car to fix the tightness. The team did everything they could to give me a strong car, but we just couldn't seem to get things going. "We are going to refocus our efforts on Homestead when we debut a Ford Taurus. Things are coming together with the car and we look forward to getting the Superflo Ford to the front of the pack." The Miami 200 will be held next Saturday, November 11, at the Homestead-Miami Speedway and will be televised live on NBC with coverage beginning at 1:00 p.m.
