ANDRETTI GAINS MOMENTUM IN JULY
* Heading up North for some flat track racing, Andretti and the #10 ppc Racing team are taking a secret weapon- it's the racecar from Phoenix. Andretti ran in the top-10 in that April race before getting tangled in a mid-race accident. The car has been repaired and will be even faster this weekend. When they aren't preparing for this weekend's New England 200, Andretti and the team will be taking in some fresh seafood with the ppc Racing family. John Kowalski, catch can man for the #22 AutoZone Ford race team, will be hosting a lobster fest dinner at his house the night before the race.
* The RVs.com/Camping World team is taking chassis #1503 to New Hampshire. It's the same car the team raced most recently in Phoenix, where Andretti finished 34th due to a mid-race melee.
* Andretti is currently second in the Raybestos Rookie-of-the-Year point standings, just eight points behind leader, Burney Lamar.
* Holding steady in the 12th position in the Busch Series driver point standings, Andretti is just 125 points away from the 10th position. The #10 team 17th in series owner point standings.
ANDRETTI AT NEW HAMPSHIRE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
Saturday's running of the New England 200 will be Andretti's first start at New Hampshire International Speedway in the Busch Series, but he has 17 Nextel Cup starts on the Loudon 1.058-mile oval already under his belt.
JOHN ANDRETTI ON THE NEW ENGLAND 200 AND NEW HAMPSHIRE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
"I love New Hampshire! I really like the race track. It's a big Martinsville and as much as they change the track, it still drives the same. You have to really work on a certain thing to get the car to do what you want it to do. I like flat tracks and I've had some good finishes in the Cup series there and I feel good about going back there in a Busch car. We have good race cars so New Hampshire will not be a crap shoot for us. I think we have a good chance so we'll go in smiling!"
