DARLINGTON, S.C. (Sept. 2, 1998) Kevin Lepage and the Channellock Racing Team will be looking for their second straight NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division victory when the tour stops at Darlington Raceway (the Lady in Black) for Saturday's Dura Lube 200. The Channellock team is coming off a thrilling victory at Bristol Motor Speedway where Lepage passed Dale Jarrett with just two laps to go to claim their first win of the season. "The win at Bristol was just a great night for the entire Channellock Race Team," said Lepage. "We had come close several times in the season but to finally have it all come together for us was just an incredible feeling."

Lepage and the Channellock Team had a solid run in the last Busch Series race at Darlington despite finishing 21st.

"We had a really strong car at Darlington in March," Lepage said. "We qualified seventh and ran in the top-ten until we got clipped in one of the wrecks and it cost us a lap. We were able to run with the lead cars after that but we couldn't quite get our lap back." Lepage is once again feeling good about the team's chances as they head into the weekend with a lot of momentum. "We're going to run 'Lil' Champ' again which is the same car we won with at Bristol," continued Lepage. "We got this car from Joe Nemechek, it was one of his brother John's cars. That made the win all that more special and we want to dedicate the win to John. Hopefully we can get into the winner's circle again."
