LAST YEAR AT LAS VEGAS... Sam's Town 300

MARCH 6, 2004-- Kenny Wallace battled a difficult car throughout the race, and it would not respond to changes. Wallace qualified 27th, and remained in that area of the pack. In an attempt to advance in the running order, Wallace stayed on the track with low fuel, hoping the caution flag would appear. It did not, and Wallace ran out of gas on lap 163. During that pit stop, the team also changed the car's right side axle. Wallace finished 25th.
