Hendrick sensation Kyle Busch scored his fourth win of the season in the Kroger 200 at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Busch held off the hard charging car of Johnny Sauter, which had been the dominant car all evening, to earn the victory for the No. 5 Chevy team.

The No. 5 team played on pit strategy to secure the victory, taking their final pit stop on lap 112. As the rest of the field cycled through their stops for the next 30 laps, the lead finally fell back on Busch as he led the last 44 laps.

"I definitely had to worry about who was coming behind me. Johnny Sauter was good here all weekend," Busch said. "Sometimes the best car is not out front at the end, but I don't know if ours was the best, but I feel it was at least the second best."

Sauter led a race high 112 of the 200 laps, but fell off considerably at the end, trailing Busch by some five car lengths as they took the checkers.

"It wasn't much of a battle," commented Sauter. "He had pretty good track position.

It was a great achievement for the No. 27 team, who has been on an unfortunate streak of mechanical failures over the last several races.

Jason Leffler scored third, series standings leader Martin Truex, Jr. earned fourth, and Greg Biffle completed the top five.

Truex continues to lead Busch in standings by 117 points. Jason Leffler (- 374), Greg Biffle (-408) and David Green (-447) round out the top five.

There were seven cautions for 38 laps, and five lead changes among five drivers.
