Kurt Busch making just his sixth Busch start of the season narrowly held off Robby Gordon to grab the win in the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen.

Busch started on the pole and led 41 laps but a caution with four laps to go set up a duel between Busch and Gordon. Gordon through everything he had at Busch but despite his challenges Busch closed the door on Gordon to earn his second series win of the season.

"It was interesting to say the least. We probably wouldn't race our Cup cars like this. Robby and I had a heck of a time. I was watching him lag back a little bit. He was trying to drive through us and we were able to stay focused," Busch said.

Despite his charge and a door-to-door battle, Gordon settled for second, "We knew we were better than him there. If I could get in and kind of get him out of the way ... but, he saved it."

Jamie McMurray's car had an overheating problem late in the race but he survived for third, ""We were very fortunate to finish the race. The motor still ran good at the end and that's what mattered."

Greg Biffle and John Andretti complete the top five. It is Andretti's first top five of the season.

Series point leader Kevin Harvick was seventh and continues to hold a wide berth over the rest of the point contenders. Carl Edwards (-443), Denny Hamlin (-447), Clint Bowyer (-570) and JJ Yeley (-657) complete the top five. The first non full time Cup driver in series standings is Paul Menard in seventh but trails by 968 points.

There were five cautions for 10 of the 83 laps and eight lead changes among seven drivers
