Biffle, Blaney, Edwards, Smith, Ragan, Reutimann and Stremme scheduled to compete in June 16 NASCAR BUSCH Series event

SPARTA, Ky. -- Seven NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series regulars and five of the Top 10 in the current NASCAR Busch Series standings are scheduled to compete for a share of the $1.4 million "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" purse at Kentucky Speedway June 16.

Series leader Carl Edwards will join his Roush-Fenway Racing teammates Greg Biffle and David Ragan in a 43-car field that also will feature Bill Davis Racing driver Dave Blaney, Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates pilot David Stremme, Ginn Racing competitor Regan Smith and Michael Waltrip Racing rookie David Reutimann.

"It's no surprise that our top-five series purse and expected seventh consecutive capacity crowd continues to attract the best NASCAR has to offer to our venue," Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said.

Edwards, Biffle and Stremme have experienced previous Kentucky Speedway success.

Edwards, who holds a 423-point lead in the current standings over second-place driver and inaugural Kentucky NASCAR Busch Series race winner Kevin Harvick, earned his first NASCAR-sanctioned win at Kentucky Speedway July 12, 2003 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and followed up with a "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" win June 18, 2005. He will look to rebound from last season's 36th-place Kentucky Speedway finish.

Biffle, who will compete in the Central City, Ky.-based BREWCO Motorsports No. 37 Cub Cadet Ford, has collected more than $243,000 in Kentucky Speedway prize money after generating three second-place and a total of four top-10 finishes through five career NASCAR Busch Series starts at the track dating to 2001. The Vancouver, Wash., driver also was part of the closest series finish in track history when he was nipped at the line by 0.036 of a second by Todd Bodine in June 2002. He placed seventh in the 2006 "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" after starting 30th.

Stremme raced to top-10 finishes in two his three previous NASCAR Busch Series starts in the Commonwealth.

The full day of activity begins when speedway gates open at 3:00 p.m., with Legends Series racing on the paved quarter-mile track. NASCAR Busch Series "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" qualifying follows at 5:00 p.m., and legendary rock artist Peter Frampton takes the stage on the Turn 1 Concourse at 6:30 p.m. The seventh NASCAR Busch Series event in speedway history will take the green flag at 8:00 p.m. Collectible event rally towels will be distributed to fans throughout the day courtesy of Cincinnati Bell, Edy's Grand Ice Cream, Fifth Third Bank, Holiday Homes, Tickets.com and WLWT-TV Channel 5 in Cincinnati.

Kentucky Speedway's third of five 2007 event weekends begins Friday, June 15 with "ClearChannel Cincinnati Fanfest" when gates open at 5:00 p.m. Fans will be able to enjoy free infield access throughout the day along with interactive games. NASCAR Busch Series drivers will practice until 8:00 p.m., and a one-hour driver autograph session will begin in the garage area at 8:15 p.m.

Tickets for "ClearChannel Cincinnati Fanfest" and the "Meijer 300 Presented by Oreo" can be reserved online at www.kentuckyspeedway.com, by phone at 888-652-RACE (7223), through Tickets.com outlets and Meijer stores, or at Kentucky Speedway ticket offices located at 400 Buttermilk Pike, Suite 100, in Ft.
