BORIS SAID QUOTES:

"I'm excited to be making my first start at the Kentucky Speedway and am thankful for the opportunity Ray (Evernham) has given me to get some more seat time on the oval tracks. I am learning a lot and planning on having a better finish than we did last weekend in Nashville. That was just an unlucky deal. But (Crew Chief) Trip (Bruce) is great to work with and he and the team have put together an awesome race car for me. I really want to get a good finish for the folks at Unilever with our Hellman's Dodge Charger, and for Ray (Evernham) and all the guys."

TRIP BRUCE QUOTES:

On working with Said in Nashville. "Working with Boris in Nashville came with no surprises, everyone picked up where they had left off in Mexico. The car was well-prepared and the set-up was extremely close. Once again Boris gave great feedback and proved how talented a race car driver he is, no matter what type of track he is on."

On racing at Kentucky. "Racing at Kentucky is always exciting. The surface of the track endures harsh winters every year. This usually takes away more grip and requires a lot of driver finesse. Our goals for Kentucky will be exactly the same as they were in Nashville: to give Boris a well prepared, competitive car and a good, solid top-15 finish. I believe Boris will do an excellent job adapting to yet another new challenge."

QUICK FACTS ^Õ

Said spent Tuesday testing with all three Evernham Cup series drivers on the road course at VIR in preparation for the upcoming NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race at Infineon Raceway.

This will be Said's fourth career-Busch series oval-track start, and first career-start at the Kentucky Speedway.

Bad luck bit Said and the No. 9 Ingersoll Rand Dodge Charger last weekend in Nashville, after a car got loose inside him and forced him into the wall, causing him to crash early in the race.

Said has three top-fives, three top-10s and two poles in NASCAR Busch Series competition, one of the two poles coming with this team at Mexico City earlier this season.
