Ken Schrader, driver of the No. 15 Oakwood Homes Andy Petree Racing Chevrolet, will make his 12th start at The Rock in the NASCAR Busch Series. In his previous 11 starts, Schrader has recorded one top-five and four top-10 finishes.
"This ought to be a good race to watch," said Schrader. "North Carolina Motor Speedway is one of those tracks that is aggressive. There are a lot of bumps and it is definitely not just another walk in the park. I have been racing here for more than 10 years and I especially like the fall race. My best finish in a Busch car here was at the fall race in 1987. I would like to top that finish for Oakwood Homes this year and get them a picture of their car in Victory Lane."
Andy Petree Racing is taking their best car to Rockingham. The crew named the car Bell Star. This car has the best qualifying and finishing efforts of the season with a fourth starting position in Richmond and a sixth-place finish in Bristol.
"We're looking to change how Andy Petree Racing has run in the past at North Carolina Motor Speedway," said Jeff Swann, crew chief of the Oakwood Homes Chevrolet. "We're going there with different thoughts on how to run well. Our team is taking a gamble and thinking it may work out for the No. 15 Oakwood Homes Chevrolet and driver Ken Schrader."
Ken Schrader, driver of the No. 15 Oakwood Homes Chevrolet on the NASCAR Busch Series, will sign autographs on Thursday, October 29 from 6-8 p.m. at the Oakwood Homes Sales Center located at 16001 Elmore Road in Laurinburg, N.C.
