BRIAN VICKERS HOPES TO FIND VICTORY LANE AT THE END OF THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD:
* When Brian Vickers first took to the track in the No.10 Braun Racing Camry at Michigan International Speedway, he was quick to impress. Following that race, he backed up his performance up with another top-10 finish at Richmond International Raceway. This weekend Vickers heads to the Midwest hoping to change the bad luck he's experienced there. Although he has led laps at the Kansas Speedway, he doesn't have the finishes to show for it. This weekend Vickers is determined to find the yellow brick road and follow it all the way to Victory Lane.
* Vickers, the 2003 NASCAR Busch Series Champion, has logged two Busch Series starts at Kansas Speedway. He also has three Nextel Cup starts at the Kansas City, Kansas 1.5-mile oval to his credit, including one top-10 finish in 2006.
VICKERS ON RACING AT KANSAS SPEEDWAY:
"I'm looking forward to racing with Trent and the 10 crew again this weekend in Kansas. I think we've established some good late-season momentum for this team, especially on the big tracks, but we only have a few more opportunities to get to victory lane. These guys work hard and the effort is there, but it's challenging for these Busch crews to keep pace with Cup-affiliated teams on pit road, so Braun Racing and Team Red Bull made arrangements to have the 83 crew pit the No. 10 Toyota this weekend. We're hoping that will gain us some advantage on pit road as a team."
The No. 10 Fan1st.com team will compete with chassis #24 Saturday afternoon's Yellow Transportation 300. This is the same chassis Brian Vickers raced at Michigan International Speedway and California Speedway just a few weeks ago. He finished sixth at Michigan and 27th at California due to a late race accident.
