Jeff Green on Darlington: Jeff Green, current points leader and driver of the No. 10 Nestlé NesQuik Chevrolet, considers Darlington Raceway one of the most challenging tracks on the circuit.

"Darlington is just one of those places I've never been able to get a hold of," said Green. "In the spring, I posted my first top-five finish there in my entire career, which is hard to believe since I've raced there 10 times now. I really love racing at places that are wide where you can pass easily and Darlington just isn't one of those places. It is so tight that passing is tough to do. In fact, the place is so narrow, you'll be successful if you just don't hit the wall all day long."

Darlington Test: Green and his NesQuik Racing team tested at Darlington Raceway on August 21st and 22nd.

"I'm really glad we tested at Darlington last week," said Green. "Goodyear's tire for this race is different than the one we had in the spring and if we hadn't tested, we would've been really off on the setup. I can't believe how much we had to readjust the setup to make the car quick. I was pleased with the times we posted during the test. They were as fast as Mark Martin and I know he'll be the one to beat. I pretty much consider him the king of Darlington in a Busch car -- he's won seven poles and seven races, so we've got our work cut out for us if we plan on beating him."

Equipment: The NesQuik Racing team is taking the same car to Darlington that finished third last week at Bristol. The car also competed earlier this year at Rockingham (finished second), Darlington (finished fourth), Bristol spring (finished second) and Dover (finished fourth). Every time this car has competed in 2000, it has not finished out of the top-five. <pre> Jeff Green / Darlington Raceway Statistics:
