Bobby East, driver of the No. 37 Cub Cadet/Kleenex Ford Fusion races for the second time in three days at O'Reilly Raceway Park. East, a native of Brownsburg, Ind., makes his fifth career start in the NASCAR Busch Series race tonight in the Kroger 200.
BOBBY EAST -- No. 37 Cub Cadet/Kleenex Ford Fusion
AS A LOCAL RACER, HOW DOES IT FEEL TO RUN AT O'REILLY RACEWAY PARK TONIGHT? "It feels great. I graduated high school just right up the road from here. It's pretty cool to be out here racing on Saturday night this week. It's pretty exciting coming off a good victory on Thursday night. It gave me a little more momentum and the main thing -- it gave me 100 more laps on the track before this weekend. We just finished the second practice of the day. It was good practice and the guys in the Cub Cadet/Kleenex Ford Fusion are working really hard to give me a competitive car. We're off just a little bit, so were going to make a couple of changes and hopefully get a good qualifying spot so we can keep a good track position throughout the race."
LAST NIGHT IN THE CRAFTSMAN TRUCK RACE, DRIVERS SAID THE TOP GROOVE WAS THE BEST PLACE TO RUN. IS THAT WHAT YOU FOUND DURING PRACTICE THIS MORNING? "I imagine so. This morning it was. I was searching around a little bit just to make sure there wasn't something better out there. The top groove seems to be the fastest right now. But this track changes a lot. We'll see what it does for tonight. If it rains before the race, that will change a lot of things. But the guys are working on the car and we'll try to get it to run on that top groove pretty good."
WAS THIS ONE OF THE TRACKS YOU GREW-UP RACING? WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT ORP? "I didn't get to grow-up racing here at ORP. I started on the other short tracks in the area. I've run quite a few races here in the past four or five years. I love racing here. It's an awesome track. It's a short track and definitely short track racing. But you can get a couple of different grooves out there, which is great. Hopefully we can get a good top-10 tonight and go to Michigan with a lot more momentum."
