MCGILL MOTORSPORTS TEAM LOOKS TO CARRY SHORT TRACK MOMENTUM TO INDY.

The NASCAR Busch Series heads to one of the shortest tracks on the series this Saturday when the teams head to the five-eights mile track just west of Indianapolis for the running of the Kroger 200. Tim Sauter and the McGill Motorsports team bring momentum from a 19th place finish on the last short track race at Martinsville, VA and the team is looking forward to the challenge of racing on another bull ring this weekend.

The McGill Motorsports team has finished 21st and 19th in the seasons first two events held on tracks similar in size to the track at O'Reilly Raceway Park. The team feels this week they can build on that momentum to carry them into the top fifteen this weekend. "We had a car capable of running in the top ten at Martinsville, I feel we should be able to pick up where we left off and put this car towards the front of the field," Sauter explained.

The Wisconsin veteran has run many laps at the newly re-named track and Tim feels his experience can help lead the team to a strong finish. "You need to use the brakes a lot at IRP, and the key to going fast is to let the car roll through the center of the corner, if you get into the corners too hot it will just push you right up out of the grove."

"This track is what Saturday night short-tracking is all about. Everyone talks about Bristol as being such great racing, but I think this place is just as exciting to watch and from a drivers perspective, it's just a great place to race," added Sauter. "I'm going to try hard to keep out of trouble and get Lester Buildings a good finish. Jay and I tangled in 2002 when were running in the top five, and last year I got into Tony Stewart racing for fifteenth and we ended up fortieth."

There are 43 cars pre-entered for the Kroger 200. The green flag will drop at 9:00 ET on Saturday, August 5th and will be televised live on TNT.

* This will be Tim's 106th start in the NBS and 111th career NASCAR start.

* All three Sauter brothers will attempt to make the Kroger 200.

* Tim is currently 24th in the NBS driver point standings.

* This will be the fourth time Tim Sauter has competed at O'Reilly Raceway Park in the NBS. Best Finish: 25th on August 7, 2004.

Tim's thoughts on the O'Reilly Raceway Park: "I've had some really great runs at IRP in other series. In 2001, Johnny and I finished one-two in an ASA race. I've run well in the Busch Series, but we've had a few on-track altercations that hurt the finishes. This is just a great little track, I love racing here."

* This will be the second time McGill Motorsports has competed at O'Reilly Raceway Park in the NBS. Best Finish: 36th on August 6, 2005 with Stanton Barrett driving.
