SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Some might think that a key role in a major Hollywood movie being released Friday, Aug. 5, would make this a big weekend for Stanton Barrett.

But as far as Barrett is concerned, all of his attention is focused on Indianapolis (Ind.) Raceway Park and Saturday night's Kroger 200 NASCAR Busch Series race.

"The movie is going to do whatever it is going to do. There isn't a lot I can do to help that right now," Barrett said. "But there is a ton we call can do to get our National City Chevrolet ready for Saturday and a great night at IRP."

Barrett drives the #36 National City Chevrolet for DCT Motorsports on the NASCAR Busch Series.

He is also the major stunt force in Dukes Of Hazzard, the new movie being released Friday, Aug. 5. The movie is considered one of the top releases of the summer, and is one of hundreds in which Barrett has appeared, as well as hundreds of television shows and commercials. Barrett, who is also running some NASCAR Nextel Cup Series events again this season, has been driving since he was 16 years old, and has competed on the highest levels of NASCAR racing. He is a native of Bishop, Calif.

"We've made some good strides this year as a race team, and we're certainly headed in the right direction," Barrett said. "We want to give National City Bank a great ride at Indianapolis, and to keep our momentum.

DCT Motorsports is owned by John and Nancy McGill, the only Cleveland, Ohio, residents to have owned a team full time in any of NASCAR's top three series. McGill has developed sponsorship packages that could incorporate the full remainder of the season or blocks of races. Utilizing his own business and marketing acumen, he brings creative and fresh approaches not just to team sponsorship itself but areas such as hospitality, cross-promotions and business-to-business possibilities.

"Stanton brings something to the table a lot of positives for a corporate sponsor in racing, things that are unique to DCT Motorsports," said McGill. "As a race team, and because of my background, we bring some unique things to corporate sponsors. With all of that, it's a tremendous marketing opportunity, and something we're proud to show off at Indianapolis Raceway Park this week."
