"I really like the concrete surface and high banks at Dover. Things happen so quick there, almost like Bristol and because you're running so fast, you can be sure if you hit the wall, you're going to hit it pretty hard." --Buckshot Jones, driver of the No. 00 Cheez-It Chevrolet

Buckshot's Thoughts on Taming 'The Monster Mile'...

* "Typically, the preferred line is around the bottom of the track so you have to make sure the car is handling well and really gets off the corners. If you have to, you can come from the rear at Dover and do well because it has two grooves of racing."

Dover Notes...

* Jones earned his Winston Cup career best 8th place finish at Dover in May, 1998 while driving the No.8 Chevrolet of the Stavola Brothers. The 1998 spring race at Dover was just his second career Winston Cup start.

* With 9 starts, Jones has started more races at Dover Downs International Speedway than any other track on the NASCAR Busch Series circuit. His best Busch career finish at Dover came in the fall of 1999 when he finished 10th.

* Happy Birthday!!-- Crew Chief Sandy Jones will celebrate a birthday on Friday, June 2.

Last Weekend At Lowe's...

* "It was a long afternoon. In addition to it being pretty warm inside of the car, we had a car that we just couldn't free up. I think if we had a few more laps under the green at the very end we could have picked up a few more positions with our fresh tires."
