DID YOU THINK YOU COULD GET AROUND MICHAEL AND DALE JR.? "Not really, not without a huge push and some help from somebody. My day was pretty adventuresome, too. My window net fell down right away and we got black-flagged and had to come back in. We almost lost a lap and Dale Jr. kinda pushed me around. Biffle pushed me around, too, and that's what kept our hopes alive on the day. It was a great run. It's hard to get around the leaders unless you get a couple of cars behind you. I got a run on Michael at the end, but he was fast enough to pass me back."

DO YOU THINK THAT IF YOU WEREN'T BLACK-FLAGGED, THAT YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSER AT THE END? "Not really. I think we had a top-five car. I don't think it was as strong as the 3 or Michael's car or probably even the 60 car, so I thought there were three or four cars better than us. If we were in the right place in the front and had the right person pushing you and staying with you, I would have much rather be in front every time. We came back from our thing pretty good and came out of the pits second or third that last restart, so I can't ask for more than that. If we would have been in first, maybe we could have had a chance, but I'm pretty happy with what we got. I think we got everything we got for how fast our car was."

DID YOU EXPECT THE 99 TO BLOCK ON THE LAST FEW LAPS? "Not really. I expected him to try to make a pass. Everyone's friends and buddies, but when it comes down to winning a race, you'd still rather win than finish second. I kinda expected him, if I could give him a big enough push, to make a move one way or another. When that happens, you have a choice to go with either one of them and then you have a chance to win. If the top two cars, if neither one of them go out of line and they go single file, it's difficult to get the leader."

DO YOU THINK THAT IF JIMMY SPENCER HADN'T FALLEN OUT OF THE RACE THAT WE MIGHT HAVE SEEN A DIFFERENT MIX UP FRONT? "Probably, because he clobbered me pretty hard and I think the next one he was going to get to, I think he would have clobbered him, too. He had a real fast car and he could close up fast on people, and he had a way of closing up so fast that he could hit you really hard and just knock you out of the groove. I've never had a car that could suck up that fast and I think he had a real quick car and would have had a shot at it if he wouldn't had had his problem."

WHAT IS THE IMPACT OF NOT HAVING WINSTON CUP HAPPY HOUR TODAY. "It mattered to me. I've been unhappy with my car since we've been in it and we changed a bunch of stuff today and didn't get a chance to try it. We put a new motor in for tomorrow, too, and we're not sure how we're going to make out with that without trying that either.
