The NASCAR Busch Series race has been postponed by rain until Monday morning at 11 am (ET). Leading the field at the restart will be the Chance 2 team No. 8 of driver and team co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Dale Jr. and the No. 8 Budweiser team (and the special "Born On" dating Budweiser red and white paint scheme) will also lead Sunday's Daytona 500 to the green flag, as Bud Pole Award winner Greg Biffle will move to the back of the field after his team was forced to make an engine change after Saturday morning's final practice session. Dale Jr., who qualified third, will now move up to the inside of the front row for the start of the Great American Race.

This is Dale Jr's fifth Daytona 500 start, and he has never started worse than 8th position.

In 25 career starts at Daytona, he has seven victories and has led 17 races. (23 NASCAR Busch and Cup races plus two starts in the 24-Hours of Daytona) His seven wins places him 14th on the all-time victory list at Daytona International Speedway.

Since practice began January 31 for the 24-Hours of Daytona, Dale Jr. has completed 622 laps during practice, qualifying and races (including today's 31 laps in the rain-delayed Busch Series event) for a total of 1704.9 miles. Should he complete all of the laps in tomorrow's Daytona 500 and then Monday's Busch race, he will have covered 880 laps - more than 2427 miles - during Speedweeks at Daytona. (He completed 159 laps during the 24-Hours of Daytona event on the 3.56-mile road course.)
