BRISTOL, Tenn. - David Green, who didn't run either Busch series race at Bristol last season, grabbed the pole for Saturday's race with track record speed of 126.495 mph. This is Green's second pole of the season and twenty- first of his career. The last time Green sat on the pole at Bristol Motor Speedway was in the spring of 1995.

"With all the rain we have had lately, luckily this team had a good year last year in points and we were able to start pretty well," Green said.

"I've always enjoyed qualifying and in this case here with a great car and the way the communication is with Jason Ratcliff (crew chief), it's so impressive for me to get in a car like this and go fast."

Jason Keller will start on the outside pole followed by Tony Raines, Scott Riggs fourth and Jamie McMurray.

Championship points leader Todd Bodine, last week's big winner in Darlington starts eighth.
