MOORESVILLE, NC--FitzBradshaw Racing announced today that Gary Cogswell has resigned as crew chief of the No. 12 Supercuts/Hot Tamales Chevrolet Monte Carlo which competes in the NASCAR Busch Series.

Cogswell has been the crew chief for the No. 12 during the first seven races and will crew chief his last race of the 2004 season this weekend in Talladega for the Aaron's 312.

The No. 12, driven by Tim Fedewa, is currently ninth in driver points, and 10th in the owner points.

"This car has had a great start to the 2004 season and Timmy has done a fantastic job of driving," said co-owner Armando Fitz. "While we wish Gary the very best of luck, we feel the team can continue to build on the positive momentum it has built so far and are confident that it will continue to perform at a top-10 level."

The No. 12 has not finished outside of the top-20 in any of the seven races thus far in the 2004 season. Fedewa has been able to complete all seven races and has run all but three laps, giving the No. 12 a 99.7 lap completion percentage.

"We've had some good efforts on the track so far this season. The crew has been awesome in the pits and we've been able to stay out of enough trouble on the track to give us a chance at the end of the day," said Fedewa.

FitzBradshaw Racing is owned by NASCAR veteran Armando Fitz and Pro Football Hall of Fame member and FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw. The team fields three cars in the NASCAR Busch Series: the No. 12 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, sponsored by Supercuts, Hot Tamales, and Bicycle Playing Cards; the No. 14 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, sponsored by the Navy; and the No. 82 Chevrolet Monte Carlo sponsored by Jani-King and Goulds Pumps.
