MARTIN TO MAKE CHICAGOLAND BUSCH DEBUT

Mark Martin and the Pennzoil Platinum No. 9 Racing Team will be looking for their third win of the season this weekend at Chicagoland, when Martin makes his Busch Series debut at Chicagoland.

THE CAR he team will run RK-292 at Chicagoland. RK-292 is the only car Tthe team has run this year, collecting wins at Fontana and Las Vegas.

BATTING 500 IN '05

Martin is .500 in Busch starts this season, winning two of his four starts. Martin boasts wins at Fontana and Las Vegas this season and will look for his third win of the season this Saturday in the USG Durock 300 when he makes his Busch debut at Chicagoland Speedway.

SHORT HISTORY AT CHICAGOLAND

While this will be Martin's debut in the Busch Series at Chicagoland, he has started four Cup races there, running to top-10 finishes in two of the four, including a sixth-place finish in the inaugural event in 2001.

IN THE BUSCH SERIES

Martin made a name for himself in the Busch Series, taking a series record 45 checkered-flags from 1987 until he 'retired' from the series in 2000. Martin has posted an additional two wins this year, boosting his record total to 47. All in all Martin has run 208 Busch races, collecting 133 top 10's and 96 top-fives. Martin has won 22 percent of all the Busch races he's entered and finished inside the top 10 sixty-four percent of the time. Martin has led 5,185 laps in the series.

"Chicagoland is a great track for racing and we are looking forward to going there this weekend and hopefully we will be in position to pick up another win. We tested there a couple of weeks ago and were pretty fast, so we'll just have to go there and see what happens."
