The Equipment... The Phillips 66 team will compete with "Fast Bob" this weekend in Michigan. The name was selected from a picture that Mears drew during an ARCA event last year at Talladega Superspeedway. The drawing depicted a driver (Fast Bob) and his trusty race car. It's been several months since the team last competed with "Fast Bob", which last raced at Charlotte in May.

Previous Race Winner... The Phillips 66 team won the 2000 Busch Series race at MIS in dominating fashion by leading 71of the 125 laps in the event.

Familiar Ground... Saturday's Cabela's 250 will mark the first time Casey Mears has competed at Michigan International Speedway in a stock car, but not the first time he has raced there. Mears competed in several Indy Lights Series events at the two-mile track; Mears' most recent start at MIS in the Indy Lights Series was in 2000 when he finished second.

A Winning Tradition At MIS... Mears' uncle Rick won three career Indy Car races at Michigan International Speedway.

Casey Mears' Thoughts On Racing At MIS... "I'm looking forward to racing at MIS again because I've had some really good finishes there in the Indy Lights Series. After running mostly intermediate sized tracks during the past several weeks I'm ready to return to a big, fast track like Michigan."

Crew Chief Donnie Richeson's Thoughts On MIS... "Michigan is a big, wide race track and you won't see very much fender rubbing going on. There are two or three grooves to race in so you don't have to run each other over to pass."

Crew Chief Donnie Richeson's Thoughts On His First Career Win At MIS... "Our qualifying run wasn't spectacular so it took us a few laps to move from 16th to the front, but once we made it to the front, we stayed there. It meant a lot to win at Michigan because you're racing in the backyard of all of the car manufacturers."
