DAVID REUTIMANN AND THE AARON'S DREAM MACHINE RETURN TO BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY
BRISTOL, Tenn. (August 20, 2007) -- David Reutimann and the No. 99 Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry team return to Friday night short-track racing at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) looking to finish what they started there in March.
"I consider Bristol one of my favorite tracks on the circuit," said Reutimann. "I grew up racing on short tracks and I always look forward to those races on the schedule, especially Bristol. We had a great car there this spring and had a solid top-ten in the bag, but ran into some bad luck late in the race. I am looking forward to another good run and a getting a solid finish for Aaron's this time."
BMS recently resurfaced the .533 concrete oval and Reutimann tested the No. 99A Aaron's Dream Machine Toyota Camry earlier this month. Reutimann was the fastest car (16.013 seconds) at the conclusion of NASCAR Busch Series testing and felt optimistic about the car and the new surface.
"Jerry and the guys brought an outstanding car to the test and our Aaron's Dream Machine really ran well." Reutimann said. "The track is very smooth and has a couple of more groves in the turns that you can run, so that should really bring out some exciting side-by-side racing. I can't wait to race it."
Aaron's will have a larger than usual presence at the speedway this weekend. In addition to sponsoring the Reutimann's Busch car, Aaron's will entertain race fans at their corporate display outside of the track, and host 100 of their Regional Managers and Divisional Executives in their hospitality area. Aaron's will also be providing VIP treatment for the winners of the Aaron's Dream Seat sweepstakes.
"One of the coolest things they do is the "Aaron's Dream Seats" promotion at Bristol," said Reutimann. "Aaron's selects two winners from a nation-wide sweepstakes and treats them to an all expense paid trip to watch the NASCAR Busch Series and NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races with a birds eye view in luxury Dream Seat recliners from Klaussner Furniture. They also select two sets of lucky fans from the grandstands for an upgrade to accompany the national winners. Sitting in recliners watching NASCAR races in Bristol would be like a dream come true."
In addition to all of the weekend activities, Aaron's is also the primary sponsor on the No. 99 USAR Hooter's Pro Cup Series racecar driven by Brett Butler and the No. 00 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Aaron's Lucky Dog Toyota Tundra driven by A.J. Allmendinger for Wednesday's races.
Live coverage of the NASCAR Busch Series Food City 250 at Bristol Motor Speedway on August 24th begins at 7:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN2 and PRN.
