SHERMAN'S HISTORY AT BRISTOL - Sherman will drive the ppc Racing No. 10 Serta Ford Taurus in Friday's Food City 250. It marks his second attempt at the "World's Fastest Half Mile." He started 34th in April's Sharpie Professional 250, and finished 36th after early contact with another car.

ppc RACING AT BRISTOL - In six years of NASCAR Busch Series competition at Bristol Motor Speedway, ppc Racing has compiled an impressive record. The organization has recorded five top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. With drivers Jeff Green and Scott Riggs, the No. 10 team has picked up three top-five and five top-10 finishes and led 136 laps at Bristol.

CHASSIS INFORMATION - The No.10 Serta team is running chassis No. ppc 36 in Friday's race. The car was last on track during the Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway in June. The team will have chassis No. 1007 on the hauler as a backup for the event. The chassis was last at the track as a backup for May's race at Richmond International Speedway.

APPEARANCE - Sherman is scheduled to participate in the Food City Family Race Night on Thursday, August 25, from 7 to 8 p.m. on State Street in downtown Bristol, Tenn. Proceeds from the event will benefit the ETSU College of Pharmacy.

SHERMAN ON HIS LAST TRIP TO BRISTOL - "The spring race at the track was my first attempt at Bristol, and I had a good chance at a decent run until I got caught up in an early accident."

SHERMAN ON HIS RETURN TO BRISTOL - "It's a fun track. I have some laps there and I'm returning with a new team. We should be able to run fairly decent. We're no longer in the top 30 in owner points, so we're not guaranteed a spot in the race. We're going to have to be a bit conservative this weekend. We need to make the race, have a good run and make it back into the top 30."

CREW CHIEF TODD GORDON ON FRIDAY'S RACE - "It's going to be a hard show to make with 53 cars on the entry list, but we have a good deal of experience at Bristol, so we should be fine. As tough as the track is on a driver, we're going to try to give Brent a car that's as comfortable as possible and focus on making the race."

HOUSTON BACK ON TRACK - Team spotter Andy Houston is scheduled to compete in Wednesday night's NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in the No. 40 Key Motorsports entry. Since 1997, he has competed in 120 Craftsman Truck Series events, picking up three wins, 27 top-five and 51 top-10 finishes.
