AJ FOYT IV AND THE GREAT CLIPS TEAM LOOK FOR MOMNETUM SWING AS THEY SWITCH GEARS TO SHORT TRACK RACING
* This weekend will mark Foyt's first career start at Bristol Motor Speedway.
* This weekend's race in Bristol is critical for the Great Clips team, which sits 37th in the points standings. The No. 38 will have to make the field for the Food City 250 on time as the series begins operating off of the 2006 points standings.
FOYT IV ON RACING AT BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
This will be my first time at Bristol Motor Speedway and I know it is going to be a different from anything I have ever done before. I have been warned that it's going to be an exhausting 250 laps both mentally and physically but I am looking forward to the challenge. NASCAR was built around short tracks like Bristol and I look forward to being a part of that.
CREW CHIEF, KEN DAVIS, ON ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY:
Bristol is a track that you love and hate at the same time. The racing is as exciting for us as it is for the fans but at the same time you almost hold your breath from the drop of the green flag because you just know something is going to happen, you just don't know when. It's exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. This will be AJ's first trip to Bristol and my advice to him is: "Sit down, strap in and hold on." That's pretty much all you can do at Bristol.
EQUIPMENT INFORMATION: The No. 38 Great Clips team will compete with chassis #46 this weekend in Bristol. This is the same chassis that Foyt drove in last season's fall race at Texas where he posted a 39th place finish after being involved in an accident.
Foyt will sign autographs for fans at the Food City Family Race Night on Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 5-7pm at the Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport, TN.
