Clint Bowyer showed during practice at Memphis that his No. 2 Chevy was the fastest ride, but a qualifying accident caused heavy damage to his ride. Bowyer, however, would not be denied. He started from the back but was able to wheel his way to his second career win.

Bowyer grabbed the lead at lap 102 and remained upfront for most of the rest of the race; leading a race-high 136 laps.

"The racecar was really good. It was all weekend. I was probably too confident in the car in qualifying. The good thing was it was just cosmetic; we were able to work on it. I was really proud of the guys and the effort they put forth," Bowyer said.

The victory helped Bowyer make up some points on series leader Martin Truex, Jr. He now trails Truex by just 100 points with three events left to determine the champion.

J.J. Yeley was second, "We had a great car. We just didn't have anything for Clint there at the end.

Truex was third; followed by David Green and Carl Edwards. Truex started on the pole but began to face on old tires late in the event.

"You don't want to lose track position in that situation -- and if we had gone back we might have found even more trouble," Truex said.

The race was marred with a race-record 15 caution laps and two multi-car crashes in the last fifty laps of the event.

Truex leads Bowyer in the Busch series championship by 100 points. Carl Edwards (-371), Reed Sorenson (-429) and Denny Hamlin (-669) complete the top five.
