* Over the last couple of years, Jason Leffler has proved that he has a knack for beating and banging on the "World's Fastest Half-Mile." In his last five Nationwide Series starts at the famed track, Leffler has two top-five and three top-10 finishes. He has one pole to his credit as well (fall, 2007).
* One year ago, Leffler captured the pole at Bristol and finished a close second to Kasey Kahne after leading 81 laps and posting a Driver Rating of 131.7. In his past six Bristol starts, Leffler has a Driver Rating of 89.1, an Average Running Position of 14.9 and 58 Fastest Laps Run.
* In the last three weeks, Leffler has made gains in the Nationwide Series championship point standings, moving from 11th to ninth. With a strong finish this weekend, Leffler stands to move up to seventh in the standings.
LEFFLER ON BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY
"Last year's race at Bristol was a blast -- racing right there at the end side-by-side with Kasey. I thought we had it there at the end but Kasey had the preferred line and I just couldn't get by him. We have been strong in our last couple of outings at Bristol. Todd Lohse has a good handle on the set-up you need to run well at a short track like Bristol and with the Toyota horsepower underneath us, I think we have a good shot at being there at the end again this weekend."
The No. 38 Great Clips team will unload chassis #23 in this weekend's Food City 250. This is the same chassis Leffler has driven in the last three Nationwide Series events at Bristol finishing 34th (accident) and second in 2007 and sixth in this season's spring race.
