JUSTIN MARKS JOINS THE BRAUN RACING DRIVER LINE-UP FOR MONTREAL
MOORESVILLE, N.C.(July 15, 2008) -- Braun Racing is pleased to announce the addition of Justin Marks to the driver line-up of the No.10 Camry. The Rocklin, California native will pilot the No.10 Future Electronics Camry in the NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada in August. This will mark his first career Nationwide Series start. Marks will share driving duties of the No.10 with Brian Vickers.
With his extensive road course experience, Marks was the natural choice for the Nationwide Series road course event in Montreal. With more than five years of experience racing sports cars in the SCCA World Challenge Series, the Rolex Sports Car Series, the American Le Mans Series, and the KONI Challenge Series, Marks has earned several honors. He has finished in the top-ten in series driver point standings seven out of eight attempts.
In 2007, Marks made the move to stock-car racing, trying his hand at the ARCA RE/MAX series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He is currently running a full-time season in the Craftsman Truck Series for fellow Toyota team, Germain Racing, in the No.9 Toyota Tundra. In 12 starts, Marks has four top-10 starts, including one pole at Texas Motor Speedway. He also has two top-10 finishes to his credit, one at the 2007 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway and the other at the 2008 season opener at Daytona International Speedway.
"I am thrilled to compete for Braun Racing in the Future Electronics Camry. The team is a top notch organization and to be able to make my first NNS start with such a competitive and talented organization is humbling. I sincerely thank Doug Stringer and Todd Braun and everyone on the team for giving me this opportunity. I am also looking forward to working with Trent Owens and all the guys on the 10 team. I've been to the Gilles Villenueve Circuit's Formula 1 race a number of times and it looks like a fantastic track and I think more than anything, I'm looking forward to getting back to road racing where I started my career and spent so many years maturing as a driver."
