CICERO, Ill. (August 23, 2000) - Fresh off a win at Nashville Speedway, Randy Tolsma's momentum is strong, and his plans are to blow into the "Windy City", and take the Chicago Motor Speedway by storm.

Since this is the inaugural event at Chicago Motor Speedway, the No. 25 CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil team will take advantage of NASCAR's optional test date on Friday, August 25. This will give Tolsma and crew chief Gary Showalter a chance to experiment with different setups and to see how the truck will perform.

"I had the opportunity to take some laps around the speedway in a rental car last week when I was out there for the NASCAR Advance Media tour," said Tolsma. "On top of being a great facility, this should be a good race for this No. 25 team. At the beginning of the year, I said this would be one of the tracks we had a chance at winning. It's comparable to Loudon, where we finished third. I really like those flat one mile tracks."

Tolsma really does like the one mile tracks, and so does the CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge. Tolsma is taking the same truck he found victory lane with in Nashville. It is not uncommon in NASCAR for teams to name their trucks or cars. Tolsma and the team have been waiting for a win so they could give their truck a name.

"We named the truck 'Gibson' after the guitar we won in Nashville," said a smiling Tolsma. The famed Gibson guitar trophy was one Tolsma had his eye on since he entered the truck series.

Tolsma and the newly named Gibson have traveled the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series circuit together many times. They earned the majority of Tolsma's 13 top-10's and six top-5's together. The team was thinking of calling the truck "Everywhere", since it went practically everywhere with the team and has been successful, but given the momentous win, they felt Gibson was a more appropriate name.

Bud pole qualifying for the Sears Craftsman 175 takes place on Saturday, August 26, at 3:00 p.m. EST. The event begins on Sunday, August 27, at 12:30 p.m. EST. ESPN and MRN Radio will broadcast the event live. <pre> Randy Tolsma No. 25 CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge 2000 Statistics
