FORT WORTH, Texas (October 17, 2000) ? Randy Tolsma and the No. 25 CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge team started the O’Reilly Auto Parts 400 in the 20th position and brought home a 7th place finish. In a race filled with cautions and attrition, he managed to battle his way into the top-10 for the 15th time this season.

Tolsma:

"I'm really proud of this CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil team. We had a better truck than our qualifying position showed. The truck bottomed out on me going over one of the bumps on the track during the qualifying run. We were sixth fastest in final practice before the race, so we just focused on getting to the front after the green flag dropped.

"The guys worked hard all night long in the pits and really got this truck to where it needed to be. We were pretty tight earlier in the night. I think we got pretty lucky to get through those incidents on the track unscathed. Some of the bigger wrecks happened right behind me. We have one more race to go in California and we hope to finish out the year on top."

"Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of Tony Roper. It's hard to believe we lost another good friend in the sport. He was a great competitor and friend, and will be missed dearly."

The last race of the season is the Motorola 200 at California Speedway on October 28, 2000.
