After this morning's one hour and 50 minute practice session, the only session of the day - the No. 88 Menards/Ideal Door Chevrolet Silverado, piloted by Matt Crafton, hit the boards as high as second fastest early on, then finished the session third fastest with a time of 27.041 fast lap.
The No. 13 Safe Auto/Curb Records Chevrolet, driven by Johnny Sauter, was 17th fastest as the team made several adjustments throughout the session. Sauter had excellent communication with spotter and crew about dialing in, and look to see a significant change for the positive at qualifying at 3:05pm MT.
"We were alright in practice, but of course I think we have more to go. The KHI and ECR trucks are fast, and Kyle (Busch) didn't really have a chance to make a qualifying run during practice. I think we're all going to be gunning it for 70s and 80s to be top of the boards in a few hours. We still have room for improvement." - Matt Crafton
