Texas truck event gets sponsor

FT. WORTH, Texas (April 5, 1997)

Texas Motor Speedway Director of Sales and Marketing Greg Tomaino announced the sponsorship of the Pronto Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series night race June 6.

Along with Ron Pyle, president of Pronto Auto Parts, Tomaino unveiled the sponsorship in the Texas Motor Speedway infield media center.

"Texas Motor Speedway is one of the premier motorsports facilities in the country," Tomaino said. "Pronto Auto Parts is going to be a part of our history-making inaugural Season of Speed. This truck race and Pronto were made for each other."

The Pronto Auto Parts 400 will be held during the Longhorn 500 IRL race weekend.

"We're excited about our affiliation with Texas Motor Speedway," Pyle said. "We're looking forward to working with the speedway. This will be a big step forward for Pronto Auto Parts."

National headquarters for the Pronto Auto Parts group is located in Irving, Texas. Pronto is an association of 139 regional warehouse distributors providing automotive replacement parts and related merchandise to over 3,000 affiliated Pronto Auto Parts stores. Collectively, the Pronto Auto Parts system is one of the largest and most successful distribution groups in the U.S. automotive aftermarket.
