FORT WORTH-DALLAS (May 31,2000) - Two drivers*one goal. Reaching victory lane at the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Pronto Auto Parts 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on June 9 is foremost in the minds of truck drivers Dennis Setzer and B.A. Wilson who visited the speedway today. Setzer is the defending race champion and a strong contender for the season points championship. Wilson is an up-and-coming challenger in the truck circuit from nearby Bonham, Texas. Setzer, driver of the #1 Mopar Performance Dodge, is currently sixth in the points standings going into this weekend's race in Monroe, Wash. Wilson, in the #73 Sonntag Redi Mix Chevrolet, is 17th in the rankings. "I am in a pretty good situation right now," Setzer said of competing in the truck series. "I would rather be winning races in this series than finishing last in Winston Cup. We have finished in the top 10 in every race this year, so we just want to continue to be consistent and close in on Jack Sprague. The championship may come down to beating him." Wilson is a local favorite, whose owner is located in Little Elm, Texas, just northeast of Texas Motor Speedway. He makes it no secret his team is working hard to be consistent but needs a=20 full-time team sponsor to help solidify the effort. "Securing a sponsor could help in areas like testing and other things that will make us better on the race track," Wilson said. "We are taking some baby steps right now and trying to go out and be consistent and hopefully catch the attention of sponsors. At least we are finishing races and are in the truck every week. I really look forward to the race in Texas because it's a chance to race in front of fans who watched me grow up on the short tracks." Qualifying for the Pronto Auto Parts 400 is Thursday, June 8, at 4:15 p.m. The race is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9. Tickets for the race are available by calling the Texas Motor Speedway ticket hotline at (817) 215-8500 or logging on to www.texasmotorspeedway.com .
