Topic of Interest

* Back to the Beginning: When the Dana Racing team enters the Texas Motor Speedway for the running of the O'Reilly 300 it will be the first time the team will come back to a speedway for the second time. It also marks the point in the year that the Dana team began anew. It was at this track in the summer that Joe Ruttman replaced Butch Miller. Since then the team has shown it was capable of running with the leaders by posting two top 5 finishes and seven top 10 finishes in 14 races together. "The driver change has been a big help," said Andy Dunlap, General Manager of BHR. "Joe has given us 100% and it has allowed us the opportunity to see what we need to do to improve the team. And looking back at the last 14 races I would have to say we just keep getting better and better."

* Christine: The Joe Ruttman Dana Racing team is running the same truck they ran here in the summer. "Christine" is the first truck that the Bobby Hamilton Racing team built from the ground up and it was also the first truck that Ruttman drove for the team. The last time the team ran this truck was at Michigan where they finished fifth.

* Most Laps: Joe Ruttman enters the O'Reilly 300 having completed more laps in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck than any other driver at Texas Motor Speedway. He has run all but one lap (552 of 553 possible). Ruttman's lead is a small one over Jay Sauter, who has completed every lap but two at the Speedway.

Ruttman's Quotes for Texas Motor Speedway

"We're really excited about going back to Texas. We had a great truck here early in the year but a problem got us behind. So we think we have something for the rest of the field this time."

"The other thing is we have a new power plant that we didn't have earlier this year and we think it's the difference in what we were missing in the summer."

"One of the things we've been fighting this year is that this team is new and doesn't have notes at a lot of these track. But with this race we have something to fall back on."
