MIKE SKINNER , No. 5 Toyota Tundra, Bill Davis Racing Finished: 3rd

What happened tonight?

"I don't know what happened there. I remember getting beat on that restart by Todd Bodine the same way, and Jeff (Hensley, crew chief) and I talked about it and I was planning to take the outside. I felt like we had more momentum coming off the corner. I think Ronnie (Hornaday) got caught up in me and forgot about the 8 (Chad McCumbee). I don't know if he got loose, or whatever, but he ran into us there. I'm sure it wasn't intentional. It was good racing."

"We got knocked sideways up there. I don't think it was intentional. Whatever happened, happened. We just cranked it and stayed to the right. When I knew that I was going to get hit -- all I could do was hold on. It worked out good. It was a crazy race. Our Tundra ran good all night."

"We would have liked to have won the race, but if we won the race Ronnie (Hornaday) would have finished second or third. Big picture-wise, this worked out better. I don't want to win or lose the championship because we crashed each other. I'd hate that. It was three wide and stuff happened. We were not in the right spot. The 8 (Chad McCumbee) was in the right spot. We got together there and my team did a great job -- they put four used tires on. We were able to miss that last wreck -- it was like ‘Days of Thunder.' I aimed for the middle and the 77 got by me (Brendan Gaughan)."
