IT TOOK 22 ATTEMPTS, BUT YOU EARNED YOUR FIRST POLE FROM TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY.

"How about that? This feels pretty good. I've been working a long time for that. I thought we had it here a couple of times and the 5 truck or the 6 truck or one of those guys would beat us out. Tonight's lap was just a phenomenal lap by the truck, the team, and the engine package under the hood, the Roush Yates combination. But [we were] prepared for here and it's big. This race is our home race for Mr. Mitchell and the Circle Bar Truck Corral people. It's big for Ford. It's big for Ford Powerstroke Diesel by International. Probably the biggest usage of that engine in the United States is right here in Texas. It was just a great lap. Keeping the truck straight and free. Congratulations to Cale Gale, all Mobile, Alabama, front row. How about that?"

YOU MENTIONED LAST WEEK ABOUT GETTING AN ASSOCIATE SPONSOR. HOW MUCH DOES WINNING THE POLE DO FOR THAT?

"The more you're talked about, the more you're in the news, the more the blue oval is on television, the more it's talked about, the more people out there that's buying vehicles, the more people out there that's got the Power Stroke Diesel brand in their trucks, especially next year, they can bring their travel trailers to the Camping World NASCAR Truck Series, the more you get out there, I think, the manufacturers will loosen up their wallets a little bit and see to it that we have been one of the main stays in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. All my starts have been with Ford and we've been with Ford Motor Company for quite a while. In saying that, I think more Ford trucks, more Ford cars, more Ford employees back at work, I think it would probably loosen the wallet up a little bit and they'd come back to a team that's been loyal to them."
