"This one has been marked on my calendar since the first race back in June. We tested here with a manufacturers test here early in the year but for some reason we were a little off when we came back for the race. We hit on it late in that race and I think we will come off the trailer this time around very strong. I just really enjoy racing at Texas as it seems to fit my driving style just right. It is a fast and smooth track and we look to be just that this weekend."
#8 DODGE at Texas:
Chase will be racing "Hulk" this week at Texas. This will mark the ninth race of the season for this truck as it has become a "workhorse" for Chase and his team on the speedway tracks. "Hulk" was last raced at California and came home with a 16th place finish - in all Chase has garnered 5 top 20 finishes with this truck.
Chase and his BHR2 team continue their 4 race sponsorship program with Alpine Engineered Products, Inc. Last week, Chase spent a day with Alpine at their industry's largest trade show of the year (2004 Building Component Manufacturers Conference) and spent time with Alpine's customers during a Customer Appreciation Dinner. Alpine has a manufacturing location in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Chase will make an appearance there after qualifying on Friday afternoon along with his #8 Alpine DODGE show truck. Chase will be joined at the track this weekend by some Alpine employees as well. For more information on Alpine, visit them at www.alpeng.com
The BHR2 team also welcomes aboard Laquinta Inn (Conference Center - Six Flags Drive) as a hospitality partner for this event. The BHR2 team will enjoy their visit in the Dallas/Fort Worth area at the 340 room hotel. Located in the heart of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, the hotel is only steps away from Six Flags Over Texas, and boasts conference and meeting facilities for up to 600 people.
