TJ Bell Ready For Restrictor Plate Racing
* Bell at Talladega...The Mountain Dew 250 will mark TJ Bell's third start at Talladega Superspeedway. In two previous starts at the 2.66-mile Alabama oval, Bell has earned one top-10 start and one top-10 finish. In 2007, he started sixth and finished 31st due to an accident. In last fall's event, Bell started 24th and battled his way to an eighth place finish.
* No 11 and No 17 Sporting Costumes At Talladega...The No 11 and No 17 Toyota Tundra's will be dressing up for Hallow-Dega. Both trucks are running a special paint scheme in honor of the race falling on Halloween Day.
* No 11 Rallies For The Last Four Events...The No 11 Red Horse Racing team suffered a minor set-back last weekend in Martinsville when the engine overheated and took Bell out of the race. The team left with a 30th place finish and more determination than ever to turn that bad luck around in the last four races of the season. The No 11 wants to end the year on a high note by earning top-10 finishes in each of the last four races.
* Bell To Participate in Race Fever...TJ Bell will make a stop at Race Fever at 5:30p.m. Friday evening. The event benefits the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. Bell will sign autographs for students of the Institute as well as race fans at the Speed Channel Dome at Talladega Superspeedway.
TJ Bell on racing at Talladeaga Superspeedway "I'm excited about our new paint scheme for this weekend. The truck looks really fast and if it runs anything like it did in Daytona, it will be really fast. This truck was awesome earlier this year at Daytona. Everything happens so quickly on at plate races, so you never know what's going to happen until it's too late. We plan to be running up front so we won't have to worry about "the big one."
Crew Chief Rick Gay on Talladega Superspeedway "Restrictor plate races are a lot of fun. It's mentally tough to watch but it's much for grueling on the drivers. This truck was good for us in Daytona but we have made a few changes to it and taken it back to the wind tunnel for more testing. I'm anxious to see how it performs this weekend. The new paint scheme would look great leading the race."
Equipment Information The No 11 Red Horse Racing team will compete with chassis No 108 in the Mountain Dew 250 at Talladega Superspeedway. This is the same chassis that Bell raced at Daytona where he started 17th and finished 11th.
