Talladega: GM teams qualifying quotes

DENNIS SETZER, No. 85 Shell Rotella T Silverado, Qualified 26th: "I am sure the wind affected us quite a bit from yesterday. You can tell there is a pretty strong headwind out there down the back straight away. It is the same for everybody.

DENNIS SETZER, No. 85 Shell Rotella T Silverado, Qualified 26th:

"I am sure the wind affected us quite a bit from yesterday. You can tell there is a pretty strong headwind out there down the back straight away. It is the same for everybody. There weren't any big gusts. Qualifying isn't a big deal. You are going to be able to race no matter where you start. You just need the right hole and the right person in front of you and behind you and you can go to the front. Qualifying is just a starting spot here."

JOE NEMECHEK, No. 46 U.S. Army Silverado, Qualified 23rd:

"These things really get up to speed fast. My Silverado felt really good and stable qualifying and all through practice yesterday. We will be good for the race. Track is fast and we are going to see a pretty exciting race tomorrow."

MIKE BLISS, No. 16 Xpress Motorsports Silverado, Qualified 16th:

"We didn't do a qualifying run at all yesterday so I have no idea if we could have been any better than this. The wind is a lot stronger and slowed it down quite a bit I think. So it is like Wow, we need more gear but since it is impound, it is what it is. This is probably all we had. We knew we weren't going to be real fast, might even better than we thought."

RON HORNADAY JR., No. 33 AES HR Solutions Silverado, Qualified 18th:

"I can guarantee it you are going to see an awesome race tomorrow and there could be six wide if they want to do that by going to the apron and down that far under the yellow line. It is so smooth, it is going to be a good race. We are just going to get a group of our Chevrolets to hookup and go to the front and try to beat some of these other manufacturers. There is going to have to be a lot of thinking out there and using a lot of brakes and out of the gas a lot because these trucks draft up so good. The track is so smooth that it is going to be cool."

MATT CRAFTON, No. 88 Menards/Energizer Silverado, Qualified 29th:

"I don't think the wind or the temperature difference from yesterday really had any affect on the truck. I thought we would have gone a little bit faster than we did but, we all we did yesterday was work on race setup. We never did a qualifying run at all. First time out on the track yesterday by ourselves, we went quite a bit faster than this but we just worked on be ready for tomorrow's race to get better in the draft and see if we couldn't pick up some speed there which I think slowed it down by itself but hopefully it will be faster in drafting."

CHAD MCCUMBEE, No. 08 The GPS Store/Garmin Silverado, Qualified 28th: "That is all we had out there. We are trying a little bit different package here and I feel like we would have either raced good or qualify good, so now that we have qualified, I would say right now that hopefully it will race good. Yesterday in the draft, it sucked up pretty decent, we never had a handling problem as far as pushing or anything, but we may struggle a little bit, especially with the head wind with what package we have underneath it. We will just see and do the best we can with it our Silverado tomorrow."

MIKE WALLACE, No. 15 GEICO Silverado, Qualified 15th:

"Not a bad qualifying effort for us. I think tomorrow what we are going to see with the repaving and being very smooth, the race track being wider than Daytona is, handling is not going to be a crucial, a much more intense race. Three-wide most of the time, probably four wide a lot of times and everybody should handle good so I doubt that you are going to see many trucks slipping to the back of the field, it is going to be incredibly intense."
