SAN FRANCISCO (Dec. 8, 1998) Stacy Compton will make one RC Cola buyer very happy when the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor selects a grand prize winner for the RC Ford F-150 sweepstakes. The lucky fan will drive home a band new Ford pickup truck. The drawing will kick off the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series awards banquet at the Fairmont Hotel on Friday, December 11.

Royal Crown Cola, the primary sponsor of Compton's No.86 truck, began the contest in September, and nearly 160,000 entries have been received in the past two months. The grand prize is a limited edition Ford F-150, featuring a custom red, white and blue exterior just like Compton's No. 86 race truck.

"This ain't no test drive," said Compton. "One of these RC fans is going to take home a fully loaded Ford F-150. It should be exciting for everyone."

One hundred first prize winners will take home a limited edition die cast model of the No. 86 RC Truck signed by Compton. Another 500 second-prize winners will win custom embroidered race caps with the colors of Team RC.

Team RC has enjoyed its first season as a primary sponsor in the series with Compton. Compton collected two wins, nine top-five finishes, 14 top-10's and 21 top-20's this season with nearly $350,000 in earnings.

"We've had a tremendous year," Compton said. "We have a great sponsor and one of the best teams. It's great when we can get the RC fans involved with our race program."
