· TEAM RC ROLLS OUT NO. 86 DODGE The long-awaited arrival of Stacy Compton and the No. 86 RC Dodge in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is here. Compton and Impact Motorsports reached a three-year agreement with DaimlerChrysler late in the 1998 season and this weekend's race is the debut of the RC Dodge. "We are ready to go racing," exclaimed Compton. "It's been a busy off season and we tested well at three tracks in the Dodge. It's going to be a great year for Team RC."
· MORE THAN A CONTENDER Compton finished the 1998 campaign with nine top-five's, 14 top-10's and 22 top-20's, along with two Bud Pole Awards, finishing seventh in the points. "We want to be more than a contender this year," said Compton. "If we are going to make a run at the championship, we can not make any mistakes here in Miami. We need to be good when we unload."
· CREW CHIEF IS READY TO RACE Crew chief Kevin Cram has spent countless hours preparing for the season- opener here at Homestead. "We have put together a great race package for Stacy," said Cram. "Our motor program is second to none with Joey Arrington building great engines with a ton of horsepower. We tested well here in February, so we will be ready to race on Saturday." · OFF THE TRACK Compton's No. 86 RC Dodge will have Publix Supermarkets as an associate sponsor for this weekend's race. RC is running in-store promotions with Publix throughout the month of March and the No. 86 red, white and blue show truck has been on display at 12 Publix stores in South Florida.
