Brett Butler to debut with Rick Ware Racing/SS Greenlight Racing
Brett Butler looks forward to racing for RWR/SS Greenlight Racing at the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway this Friday in the #08 Chevy. Butler, who finished 9th in the USAR Pro Cup Series final point standings in 2009 has seen limited action in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series but looks to the future.
"I'm really excited to be racing for RWR/SS Greenlight Racing this weekend. They have shown over the past few outings at Martinsville and Talladega that their equipment is capable of winning. This is a big step for me racing at a 1.5 mile track, but I know the guys in the shop have worked hard at giving us a good piece of equipment for the race", stated Butler.
When asked about how he prepares for a track he has not been to, Butler laughed. "I have been working on the simulator and games just like everyone else. Since we can't test due to NASCAR's testing ban, this is the next best thing."
Butler joins the RWR team and is optimistic about his future. "I am looking forward to racing with this team. They have many of the pieces put together to run for a title in 2010. With another solid performance, I'm sure we can add the most important final piece to the puzzle...sponsorship."
This will be the 3rd joint venture with Rick Ware Racing and SS Greenlight. "We are very proud of our partnership with Bobby Dotter and the SS Greenlight team, stated Rick Ware. "They are one of the most competitive teams in the Camping World Truck Series this year and are a great business model for us to build from. "
