Fort Worth, Texas (June 8, 2001) - Jack Sprague won the O'Reilly 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday night. Sprague, driver of the Net Zero Chevrolet, took the lead on lap 123, leading the last 44 laps to take his first victory since winning at Evergreen Speedway in June of 2000.

Sprague, who has run in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since 1995, earned his 20th career victory tonight.

Last week at Dover Downs, Sprague led most of the race only to finish second, less than one second behind winner Scott Riggs.

Brendan Gaughan, driver of the Orleans sponsored truck, finished second.

Finishing third was David Starr. Starr purchased his truck from the recently closed shop of Menard Racing. Starr's third place truck was the same one that Bryan Reffner drove to victory at Texas Motor Speedway last year.

Joe Ruttman finished fourth, followed by Ricky Hendrick, Dennis Setzer and Coy Gibbs in seventh. Randy Tolsma, Carlos Contreras and Nathan Haseleu rounded out the top-ten.

The average speed of the race, 133.620 mph, was a record for the truck series.
