NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Jack Sprague was a featured speaker at the National Automotive Technology Competition Banquet April 18 in New York City. The gala event was held at the Sheraton New York in downtown Manhattan and drew more than 400 people. More than $3 million in scholarship awards were handed out to 40 vocational high school teams consisting of two students per team. Earlier in the day, the students earned the awards by competing in an automotive troubleshooting contest conducted by the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association. Sprague, driver of the No. 24 NetZero Platinum Chevrolet Silverado in NCTS competition, completed a automotive vocational program while in high school in his native Michigan.

Two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Jack Sprague autographs a hat for one of the 80 students to compete in the National Automotive Technology Competition. The April 18 competition, which featured 40 teams of vocational high school students, was held in New York City earlier in the day. Sprague, driver of the No. 24 NetZero Platinum Chevrolet Silverado, was an automotive vocational student while in high school. Later in the evening, Sprague addressed a crowd of more than 400 guests at a gala dinner held at the Sheraton New York in downtown Manhattan. More than $3 million in scholarship funds were awarded in the competition, which was conducted by the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association Motorsports Management Group
