SPARTA, Ky. - For the sixth consecutive race, Matt Crafton has qualified in the top-15 for a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event. Crafton earned the 10th starting position for the Kroger 225 at the Kentucky Speedway Friday, July 12. The race is Saturday, July 13.

"We've said for the last couple of weeks that we needed to step up from top-15 qualifying runs to top-10's," Crafton said. "We were able to do that today.

"This is our first week with a Menard engine in the Menards/ColorPave Chevrolet. Man is it something. It's a stout piece. I really want to thank John Menard and all the guys at his engine shop in Indianapolis. They did a great job with this engine."

This marks the first time in his 36 career truck starts that Crafton has made six consecutive top-15 starts.

Crafton's fastest lap in qualifying for the Kroger 225 was 32.672 seconds (165.279 miles per hour) around the 1.5-mile oval. Jason Leffler won the pole with a 32.085 (168.303) lap.

The Kroger 225 is scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT Saturday, July 13. The race is slated for telecast on ESPN and broadcast on the affiliates of the Motor Racing Network.
