RACE FANS GET MORE NASCAR BANG FOR THE BUCK SEPTEMBER 7 & 8 AS RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY HOSTS SUPERTRUCK & GRAND NATIONAL FAMILY FUN NIGHTS
RICHMOND, VA - Richmond's veteran Raceway operator, Paul Sawyer knows that the average race fan doesn't have a Swiss bank account stuffed to the rim for the family racing budget. In an effort to keep the cost of going to the races in check, Sawyer has unveiled two nights of NASCAR family fun at "The Action Track"!
The Thursday night September 7, Fas Mart SuperTruck Shootout and Friday night September 8, Autolite Platinum 250 have been declared by Sawyer as "Family Fun Nights" at Richmond International Raceway.
The Fas Mart SuperTruck Shootout and Autolite Platinum 250 races are both general admission events. Children 12 & under accompanied by a ticketed adult will receive free admission for both races!
On Thursday, September 7, $15 per adult (children 12 and under free) is all it costs to see the Fas Mart SuperTruck Shootout, featuring an entire day of SuperTruck and Grand National practice and qualifying. At 8:40 p.m. Thursday night, the SuperTruck series by Craftsman blasts off for 150 laps of ground pounding excitement on "The Action Track!"
Tickets for Friday night's Autolite Platinum 250 are $30 per adult ( children 12 & under free). Although no tickets remain for the Miller Genuine Draft 400 race on September 9, families can still see a full day of Winston Cup practice and 1st round pole qualifying on Friday prior to the Autolite Platinum 250 Grand National Series event.
"It seems that the cost of going to the races is the only reason most families are unable to attend," says Sawyer. "It's my way of saying thanks to race fans for supporting Richmond International Raceway."
