SUPERTRUCK TEST JUNE 5-6 AS DRIVERS PREPARE FOR RIR'S FASMART SUPERTRUCK SHOOTOUT RICHMOND, VA - NASCAR's new SuperTrucks make their first East Coast appearance Monday and Tuesday, June 5 & 6, when Richmond International Raceway opens its doors for two free days of NASCAR SuperTruck by Craftsman Series testing from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day. With officials of NASCAR and the participating truck manufacturers in attendance, a large contingent of series regulars, including Ron Hornaday, Butch Miller, Mike Skinner, Joe Ruttman, Bill Sedegwick, Rick Carelli, Jack Sprague, P.J. Jones, Scott Lagasse and Tobey Butler are expected to tour Paul Sawyer's RIR oval preparing for the September 7 FAS MART SUPERTRUCK SHOOTOUT. A number of surprise drivers may also show up at Richmond in SuperTrucks on June 5 & 6. All three Winston Cup Bodine brothers - Geoff, Brett and Todd - plan to enter the September 7 RIR event, along with a number of other Winston Cup and Grand National drivers not participating in the entire SuperTruck by Craftsman Series. Richmond's grandstands will be open to spectators at no charge all day Monday, June 5 and Tuesday, June 6 for the Fas Mart SuperTruck Test Sessions. An exceptionally large fan turnout is expected.
