David Starr Puts Silverado on the Pole at Richmond
Sixth Pole of the Season for the Bowtie Brand

Richmond, VA - David Starr captured his second pole of the 2005 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season at Richmond International Speedway. The driver of the No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado turned the .75-mile track in 21.319 seconds, 126.648 mph to give Chevrolet Team Silverado their sixth No. One starting position in 18 of the 25 scheduled events.

"This is just awesome," said Starr. "We knew we had a pretty good truck after practice, but thought we might not have a chance at the pole because we were the first truck out to qualify. This Spears Silverado team is capable of better runs than we have been having so this is a real boost for our entire team. I know we have a pretty good truck for tonight's race. We want to come out of here with a strong run and then keep building on it as the season winds down."

A total of 45 trucks made qualifying attempts for the 36 starting positions in the Cheerios Betty Crocker 200. The biggest surprise of today's qualifying session was both Tony Stewart and former series champion Mike Bliss not qualifying for the race.
