MILWAUKEE, Wis. (June 30, 2000) - Randy Tolsma will start the SEARS DIEHARD 200 in the second position, on the outside of front row. Tolsma ran a qualifying time of 29.872 and a speed of 120.514 mph around the 1- mile track. Rookie Kurt Busch edged Tolsma by a thousandth of a second, with a time of 29.871 and a speed of 120.518 mph. If put into the perspective of distance, at the speed Tolsma made his way around the track, Busch beat Tolsma by a margin of two inches.

Tolsma has been a dominant force all weekend at the Milwaukee Mile, as he was the fastest truck overall for the optional test day on Thursday.

"This is pretty amazing considering the snap of a finger takes a second," said Tolsma after qualifying. " We have run so well here at Milwaukee in the past, and this CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge team is more determined to win than ever. This track is comparable to Monroe, where we were truly dominant. Gary Showalter and the guys have given me a super strong race truck for this weekend, and we're setting our sights on victory lane. We'd love to give Dodge a victory here in Milwaukee."

Tolsma has had four straight top-10 finishes and six top-10's in seven races. Tolsma and the No. 25 CITGO-SUPERGARD Motor Oil Dodge team are on the threshold of victory, and they're sure to be a force to contend with when the green flag flies for the start of the event tomorrow. The race begins at 2:30 p.m. EST and will be televised on CBS.
