"Exide has been a great partner to Randy Moss Motorsports," commented David Dollar, co-owner of Randy Moss Motorsports. "We had a lot of success in our first season together, and I am expecting more of the same in 2010. Mike [Skinner] did a great job both on and off the track."
The familiar blue and black colors will make their 2010 season debut on the No. 5 Toyota Tundra in Charlotte on May 21 where Exide will be hosting the winners of the Exide Extreme Race Weekend Sweepstakes, which ran from February 15 through March 21, 2010.
Exide will return to Skinner's Tundra for races in St. Louis, Bristol, New Hampshire, Talladega, and Texas. In addition, the Exide logo will adorn the hood of David Starr's No. 81 Tundra for the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Exide also will serve as a full-season associate sponsor for both teams.
"Mike Skinner has been an exemplary brand ambassador for Exide, and we are proud of our alliance with one of the premier teams in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series," said Bruce Cole, President -- Transportation Americas, Exide Technologies. "Not only does this sponsorship afford us additional opportunities to activate our Official Battery of NASCAR status, it also aligns our company's premium-quality, track-proven portfolio of battery products with the brand-loyal NASCAR audience."
"I am really excited about Exide coming back in 2010," said driver Mike Skinner. "We had a great season together in 2009. They helped propel Randy Moss Motorsports into the spotlight, and we are very thankful for their support. I am looking forward to getting the Exide Tundra to victory lane as well as vying for the 2010 championship."
