How was your truck tonight?

"We had a good truck. It took off at the beginning of the race. Clear air is so important. When we were out front, the thing was flying. Once we got back in traffic, we couldn't do anything with it. We had great pit stops and good strategy -- we just couldn't get by those guys. We had a good Tundra."

Could you have caught the leaders at the end of the race?

"Our truck is incredibly aero-sensitive. We need to work on it and figure out why. I could get within 40 feet of those guys and it would be plowing. It was so tight. On that last restart we had clean air and I was running down the 99 (Erik Darnell). The thing was perfect and I got to him, but I just couldn't do anything with him. Johnny (Benson) came up behind me and I could hold him off for a little while, then he got under me. I knew I could ride side-by-side with him because we had done it earlier. I just really wanted a Toyota to win and had to let him by."
